TeacherHubPro is designed primarily for adult educators. When students under 13 use the platform, schools act as the consenting authority.
What is COPPA?
COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) is a U.S. federal law that imposes requirements on operators of websites and online services directed to children under 13, or that collect personal information from children under 13.
Our Approach
If TeacherHubPro is used by students under 13:
- Schools as consent authority: Schools may consent on behalf of parents for the collection of student information for educational purposes.
- Educational purposes only: Data is used solely to provide educational services.
- No targeted advertising: We do not use student data for targeted advertising.
- No data sales: We never sell children's personal information.
Information We May Collect
When students use the platform through their teachers, we may collect:
- Student name (as provided by teacher)
- Educational work and progress
- Assessment responses
Parent Rights
Parents have the right to:
- Review their child's personal information
- Request deletion of their child's information
- Refuse further collection
Parents should first contact their child's school, as the school controls student data.
